Topic # 1 – Setting the tone in a Self Audition Tape

You submitted a self-audition tape and thought you nailed it– What happened? We discuss tips on how to make the best first impression when performing and submitting lines for a possible role. How can I stand out on the tape?

Special Guest discusses tips and tricks and answers questions. Host will ask for volunteers to come up onto the stage for an interactive experience.

Topic # 2- Nailing the Monologue w/ Special Guests

Agenda: Special Guests will read their favorite dialogues to the attending auidence.

Jay Montalvo takes the stage and will discuss tips and tricks of how to nail your next monologue from his over 30 years experience in the industry and invite some volunteers up to the stage for an interactive experience.

BIO: Jay Montalvo

Jay Montalvo is an actor and producer, known for Take Back with Mickey Rourke, Michael Jai White, Gillian White and James Russo (2021), Paydirt (2020). Jay excelled in his recurring role as Adrian Rosales in the CBS daytime drama Young and the Restless, garnering an invitation to the EMMY NOMS for 2019. His earlier appearances include ABC’s General Hospital as D.A. Benjamin Lazaro (2013), The crime comedy Get Shorty, The Onion movie, Swat, Driving While Black, Foreign Land, This Girls Life. Television appearances include Scorpion, Jane the Virgin, Agents of Shield, CSI Miami as Reggie Veston, Commander in Chief with Geena Davis, Encore! Encore! with Nathan Lane, Cybill, Team Knight Rider, Men Behaving Badly with Rob Schneider. Producing and acting projects in development are Tio’s place with Danny Trejo, Rudyberto’s (TV series), The Wedding Bus and Tango Amargo (Crime Drama). 

BIO: Gabrielle Rosson

Gabrielle Rosson is an actress, writer, director, and producer living and working on Cape Cod. She has made several award winning New England films and has been acting since she was eight years old. She currently works as news director and tv anchor for Cape Media News and founded the Greater Boston Film Collective, a networking group for New England talent. She’s thrilled to have the opportunity to share her knowledge and experience with guests of the Stafford Springs monologue workshop

BIO: Kris Salvi

Kris Salvi is a local New England Actor & writer whose resume includes such films as The Last One, Delusion, Freelance, Facing The Pitcher, and A Life Not To Follow. He is the founder of Private Eyes Films which is Independent films specifically centered around Noir/Crime Genres.

BIO: Justin Thibault

Justin Thibault is a New England based actor working for over a decade in the industry. He has most recently worked on the films Confess, Fletch directed by Greg Mottola, BROS directed by Nicholas Stoller and ‘Undertaker’ directed by Chris Esper. BIO: Justin Fortin

J.R. Fortin is an actor and filmmaker  from Poland Maine. He has won several awards from his series Hearts of New England. He is married and has seven children. He has been the lead in other films such as Suicide Hotline and For Bobby and has many other supporting roles in other films through New England.  He started his film career in 2016 and is currently cast in four more films.
